Privacy Policy

Brendan Nicholas Holdings Limited (“BNH”) is committed to protecting the privacy of every individual who interacts with this website and with our institution. This policy explains what personal data BNH collects, why it is collected, and how it is handled, in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023 and the General Application and Implementation Directive (GAID) 2025 issued by the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).

Data We Collect

This website does not use web forms, so no structured personal data is submitted through the site itself. When you contact BNH by email at any of our published addresses, BNH receives the information contained in your message, which may include your name, email address, organisation, and the content of your enquiry.

Where you apply for a role or placement with BNH, BNH also receives the personal data contained in your application, including your curriculum vitae, qualifications, employment history, and any supporting information you choose to provide.

This website uses privacy-respecting, anonymised analytics to measure page views, session duration, and traffic source, only where you have given your consent through the cookie notice described in BNH’s Cookies Policy. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics.

How We Use Your Data

Information sent by email is used only to respond to your enquiry and to manage BNH’s institutional relationship with you or your organisation. Recruitment data is used only to assess your application and, where relevant, to contact you about it. BNH does not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties, except where required by law, where necessary to respond to your enquiry, or where a service provider processes the data on BNH’s behalf under a data processing agreement.

Lawful Basis for Processing

BNH processes personal data on the following bases, mapped to each activity described above:

  • Enquiry correspondence: BNH’s legitimate interest in responding to institutional communications.
  • Recruitment data: steps taken at your request before entering a contractual relationship with BNH and, where applicable, your consent.
  • Analytics data: your consent, given through the cookie notice described in BNH’s Cookies Policy.

Retention

BNH retains personal data only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was provided. Enquiry correspondence and unsuccessful recruitment applications are retained on this basis. Where a retention period is required by applicable law, BNH retains the data for that period instead.

Your Rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023, you have the right to:

  • request access to the personal data BNH holds about you;
  • request the correction or deletion of your personal data;
  • object to, or request the restriction of, its processing;
  • request the portability of your personal data; and
  • withdraw your consent to its processing at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, contact communications@brendannicholas.com.
